Minister of Defense, Fatmir Besimi, in an interview with Radio Free Europe, said that after the NATO summit in Chicago, Macedonia will insist on an intensive dialogue with Greece, supported by other members of the Alliance.

-We will ask Greece to continue with the intense dialogue to overcome the differences and we will certainly have the support from other member states of NATO. That is what we will do in the future. To overcome this open question, we should see ourselves as partners for finding a solution, not as two rivals, says Besimi.

He pointed out that Macedonia didn’t have high expectations form the NATO summit in Chicago because the expansion was not on the agenda, but also because the name dispute with Greece remains unresolved, reports Radio Free Europe in an excerpt from the interview with Besimi.
